Jun 13 Social Instagram I took a few days off around the ARC Demo Day to get on the rivers that are out of my reach for day trips. I had a great time but my camera died and my back up camera isn't the same quality. Heres the short verson: Walked the Nottoway Falls- moved kayaks- camped the Hardware river to New Canton run on the James- set up the Demo Day- Demo Day- Balcony Fall run on the James- Appomattox river fall line run. Here is the long version: On the way to Farmville I stopped off on the Nottoway river and walk the falls. I got to Farmville we unloaded kayaks at the demo lake. Then Greg (ocean kayak rep) dropped me off at the Hardware river boat ramp. I fished my way down to a rocky shoal and set up camp. My only fishes of the whole weekend hit right at sunset, the biggest of the two was a 18 incher. I forgot my rain jacket so the next mornin I fiahed in the drizzle rain until I got cold then paddled. That afternoon we set up the boats and displays for the demo. Saturday was the Demo day, and it rained during the evemt for the first time since ive been doing it. But plenty of people came out to try out kayaks. Plus its always a fun time hanging with everybody.  Sunday I didn't have anybody to do the Balcony Falls run so i took the chance i could find a shuttle and headed to the mountains. Luckily Thomas Baker and James Tills where about to launch so i was able to hang with them. Thomas was like a guide showing us all the cool scenic spots. I didnt bring my fishing gear because I thought it would have been muddy but up in the mountains the runoff is cleaner than in thr farmlands of the piedmont sections. Sunday on the way home I fished the Appomattox.
