Dec 5 Social Instagram Let's take the sting out of Monday by getting to know this weirdo: We present (drumroll) Tania Bashford! I am an Australian who grew up in Queensland hanging out with my identical twin sister Fiona and my little brother Brendan (he's not so little anymore). We had so much fun and grew up loving the beach, camping, playing pranks and playing sports. I used to race BMX, play soccer, tennis and Aussie Rules football to name few. Being part of a team has always been a big part of my life and I've had many opportunities to travel in Australia and internationally because of sport. Travelling is one of my favorite hobbies, my favorite places I have traveled so far include Israel, New Zealand, Belize and Japan, I love the diversity of the land, people and food. I particularly enjoy Korean BBQ, Indian and Ethiopian My other interests include reading (Michael Lewis is my favorite author); camping and hiking, scuba diving, white water rafting, eating ice cream, drinking chocolate milk and going to the beach. The beach is definitely my happy place, I love how you can smell, taste and feel it. I'm also obsessed with watching the World Surf League and will stay up to all hours watching it. My favorite surfers are Tyler Wright and Kelly Slater. In 2013, I moved to the US to pursue an MBA at the University of Utah, this was a great opportunity. In 2015, I graduated and accepted a role as an analyst at eBay in Draper. Not having to study all the time it was time to join a sporting team again and thought maybe I should play an 'American' sport while I'm here, that's how I came to join the Utah Falconz. I've really enjoyed my time with the Falconz, the camaraderie and the trips we get to take together. A couple of questions I know you want the answer too: Do I have a pet kangaroo? No, had to leave him in Australia. Can I wrestle dingoes and crocodiles simultaneously? Of course. Is everything in Australia trying to kill you? Yes, it was tough to survive this long. #utahfalconz #womensfootball #tacklefootball #americanfootball #femaleathlete #strongwomen #australian #aussy #australianathlete #hiking #camping #scuba #scubadiving #whitewater #rafting #surfing #surf #beach
