There are many differences among them? My level is intermediate in rodeo.

Well it's hard to say, you just have to try both. But ZG is more aggressive, but on the other hand more bouncy and faster on the wave.

I have Kingpin for third season now and I love it, because in a way, it's a great all round boat, not just super-specialized playboat for big waves.

It also depends where you paddle and what you paddle on daily basis.

In my humble opinion the ZG 54 is not a superespecialized for big waves. The new WS Project are. All the reviews that I have read confirm it.
I hope in the next week the definitive test.

Best regards.

i was lucky enough to see both the crazy88 and the ZG at a hole rodeo in oregon. the 88 carves a bit better and initiates a little more easily (from what i could tell) but the zg went HUGe:jawdropper: when it came to aerial moves, i really couldnt believe how much air it got. MAybe it was just the paddler, but i was pretty amazed.

The WS project are good in a hole and wave. They are not only wave boats. They just have good rocker for a wave. the wave rocker does'nt affect hole surfing. I'm pretty sure looping is a hole move only or at least under most circumstances and that boat LOOPS. Also it's side walls are nicely shaped for holes. It is really fast!!

Yes, they're quite different.
The ZG is much faster and edgier- whether this is good or bad is probably a matter of your own preference and style. I thought the zg was much more fun than the Kingpin, although I thought they each had their strengths.

The kingpin planes up quickly and can tumble any which way in the hole, but is slooow and carving was a joke- it just slid.
The ZG is much more performant, but less forgiving. I liked the balance in bow:stern volume distribution: I could cartwheel the ZG smoothly where the Kingpin had an off-balance 'galloping' cadence due to the imbalanced bow:stern volume.

Which is best for you? tough to say. :ask:
