Review

awesome boat, it has done me for years, its been great for learning some freestyle moves and coping with some bigger water, i have competed in uk youth freestyle competitions, but have recently changed it for an S6F, because the boat has been so good for me i have refused to sell the boat and kept it as a spare :).

Conclusion

awesome boat!

About myself

I'm 5 ft 8. I weigh around 9 1/2 stone. (135ish LBS or 65ish KG), I'm 15 years of age with size 9/10 feet, I've been paddling 5 years and I'm a 3 Star kayaker with my CST.

About the test environment

I own a blue Mr Clean and I paddle it often on the sea, on flat water and at a local weir.

Review

The Mr Clean is a brilliant kayak, although Perception class it as a Intermediate-Advanced kayak I'd say it was probably Beginner-Intermediate, it has slicey edges some comfortable outfitting, 'lots of leg room' and just such a nice feel about it.

It's downsides are if you're near the lower end of the weight range it takes a while to master flat water playboating moves although when you do something you feel great for it afterwards. Other than this I can't say much bad about it!

Conclusion

Overall, really, it's a great kayak even if it is old and ugly.
You really should try one if you're a beginner.

Kayaking pundit.

I paddled one once at Hurley.

Caught the imagination on its release but was superceded by other manufactuerers within a couple of months.

If you want an allround WW boat on a budget, second hand versions are still available. It would have to be very cheap to be a wise purchase though.
