Exceptional performance, seaworthiness, and efficiency. Complete outfitting and unparalleled value are the signatures of the Sojourn sea-cruising kayak.
Construction - The Sojourn is comprised of multiple layers of 6 oz. flat-weave fiberglass for a high glass to resin ratio (composite boats get their strength from the cloth not the resin). It is a labor intensive process that produces a kayak that is lighter weight and significantly stronger than other kayaks costing dramatically more. For integrity, longevity and safety, the bulkheads are molded of fiberglass to fit precisely and stay in place. Attention to detail includes a fully adjustable seat for enhanced comfort and appropriate boat trim. Oversized hatch openings allow for easy loading and unloading of gear (especially the likes of bulky synthetic sleeping bags). Outfitting is completed with the addition of a foot-control rudder for precise control and efficiency.

Hatch Size:
9" x 18 1/2" bow
13" x 19" stern

A wonderful expedition kayak with plenty of room for camping supplies. Excellent quality of materials and construction. She handles well in all conditions. There are faster and lighter boats, but none that compare in terms of carrying capacity and toughness.
