ICF Intense pressure for Athletes at the opening ICF world cup in Lee Valley
ICF - The opening ICF canoe slalom world cup of 2019 that took place in Lee valley put intense pressure on athletes as it was a part of the selection trials to make the Olympic team for many athletes of various participating countries. However, Mallory Franklin had a perfect start to win gold in the k1 slalom followed by gold in c1 slalom, which gives her confidence to compete the rest of the season.
ICF Impressive wins for Tasiadis and Mallory Franklin at Lee Valley ICF Slalom World Cup
ICF - Tasiadis is fighting Franz Anton contending for the selection in the C1 category to make the German Olympic team to compete at the Tokyo Olympic games next year. While Mallory Franklin is also fighting two athletes to get placed in the K1 women’s category to make the British team to compete in the Olympics next year. At the Slalom World Cup here at Lee Valley these two take gold and make some progress earning valuable points for selections to make the Olympic team.
ICF Sideris Tasiadis wins gold at the Canoe World Cup that took place at Lee Valley
ICF - In 2012, Sideris Tasiadis remembers competing in this same course for the London Olympic Games. At that time he won silver. So, this course was special. By winning gold here, Tasiadis scores valuable points for qualifying to compete at the Tokyo Olympics next year, as this event is one of the events that would be used to qualify for the German Olympic team, where Sideris Tasiadis is contending to earn position in the sole men’s C1 category.
