Seth Warren, Winner of Film Festivals World Wide, Launches The 2008 Alternative Energy Tour at Summer OR

KAVU ELEMENTS TOUR
Presented by KEEN
Powered by CLIFBAR

July 2008, BOULDER, COLORADO- Join KAVU, KEEN, CLIFBAR and RedWood Creek Wine on Saturday, August 9th, from 6–9 P.M. at the Salt Palace South Plaza for The Element’s Tour Kick Off Party, where sustainable technology meets nature.

Steadfast in his commitment to educate people on the benefits of renewable energy, Seth Warren, creator of the Oil+Water Project, introduces his second venture - The Elements Tour = Energy Propelled by Nature. The mission of The Elements Tour is to inspire individuals to nurture a personal relationship with nature’s elements: sun, wind, and water in order to efficiently satisfy their growing energy needs.

THE TEAM & SCHEDULE

Beginning August 2008 Baby, the original Oil+Water rig, will carry athletes, activists and educators to 42 cities throughout western North America.

The Elements Tour will:

1) Demonstrate how to create renewable energy by using the elements of nature (sun, wind and water) and how to store this energy for future daily use

2) Demonstrate how these same elements provide the platform for nature-propelled outdoor sports like kayaking, surfing, skiing and hang gliding

THE SCHEDULE

The year-long tour will follow the water cycle, traveling from the ocean to the sky, clouds, mountains, rivers and back to the ocean. Please refer to www.naturepropelled.com for a detailed course map.

THE RESULTS

Through The Elements Tour, communities will learn about renewable energy via esteemed role models. These individuals inspire people to take action in their communities and motivate future generations into preserving ecosystems around the world so that they can enjoy the planet’s playgrounds just as we do today.

THE RIG

· Baby has completed the longest overland journey (61,000 kilometers) without petroleum fuel than any other vehicle in the world

· Still today, Baby has traveled further than any vehicle in the world without petroleum fuel

· Baby has the ability to create and store energy. Using an off-the-shelf high output alternator, Baby can capture the maximum amount of energy from its engine with greater efficiency and store the energy in a 12 volt power bank of batteries

· Baby has a high output power inverter that converts energy from the DC (Direct Current) battery to Alternating Current (AC) electricity (used in everyday appliances). The energy stored will fuel all team members’ electrical needs, presentations, and off-the-grid music concerts

· All Elements Tour presentations will be fueled from the energy created to get to that particular destination

· To sustain energy, Baby will use sun, wind, and water to recharge the power bank during prolonged stationary stays

· Baby’s trailer folds out into a lower deck creating a two level stage

· Baby holds 14 full sized gel batteries

Through socially responsible partnerships with major sponsors KAVU, KEEN, CLIFBAR and Outdoor Retailer event sponsor REDWOOD CREEK, The Elements Tour will strive to reach as many children and adults on their renewable energy promotional journey.

Please, join us in the adventure and help us spread the word.
