The nominees for the 2007 International Whitewater Hall of Fame have been selected.
The nominees for the 2007 Class of Inductees into the International Whitewater Hall of Fame have been selected in four categories: Advocate, Champion, Explorer and Pioneer. The nominees are:
Advocate: Bill Endicott (USA), Kent Ford (USA), Dave Kurtz (USA), Bill Mason (Canada), William Nealy (USA), and Risa Shimoda (USA)
Champion: Dana Chladek (USA), Eric Evans (USA), Richard Fox (Great Britain/Australia), Cathy Hearn (USA), Jamie McEwan (USA), Gilles Zok (France)
Explorer: Walt Blackadar (USA), Mick Hopkinson (Great Britain/New Zealand), Tom McEwan (USA)
Pioneer: Bart Hauthaway (USA), Toni Prijon (Germany), Ray McLain (USA)
Two will be elected in the Advocate and Champion categories and one for the Explorer and Pioneer categories for a total of six for induction into the Whitewater Hall of Fame. Short biographies of the nominees are available on the website, www.iwhof.com.
The Electorate, consisting of nationally and internationally recognized paddlers, athletes, writers, and leaders in the industry will cast their votes for the next Whitewater Hall of Fame inductees later this summer. Announcement of the election results is tentatively scheduled for August 4, 2007 at the U.S. Slalom Nationals, held at the Adventure Sports Center’s new whitewater course in McHenry, Maryland.

The International Whitewater Hall of Fame (IWHOF) recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant contributions to whitewater related activities.
