Bomber Gear’s campaign to support local Humane Society chapters will continue at the 29th annual Gauley Fest, the biggest fundraiser for American Whitewater. Bomber Gear’s campaign to support local Humane Society chapters will continue at the 29th annual Gauley Fest September 14-16, 2012. The Gauley Festival is the biggest fundraiser for American Whitewater, and in addition to supporting this organization, Bomber Gear will be taking donations for the local Raleigh County Humane Society in its booth at the event.

Bomber Gear has long been dedicated to rivers and the paddling community, but this year decided to take its support to another level and give back to the companions the river community loves so much.

“Man’s best friend certainly seems to have become everyone’s best adventure buddy, and at Bomber Gear we can’t think of a better way to celebrate outdoor enthusiasts than to support their canine pals,” said Jessica Prescott, marketing manager for Bomber Gear. “Gauley Fest is a great opportunity to give back to the river community through both the local Humane Society chapter and American Whitewater.”

The campaign to raise money for local Humane Society chapters across the U.S. kicked off at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City in August, and is now continuing at community events like Gauley Fest nationwide. Bomber Gear is donating a portion of this year’s sales – up to $10,000 – to 10 local Humane Society chapters.

At Gauley Fest, Bomber Gear will also have a booth with new 2013 products on display for a sneak peak and swag to give out to attendees. Come by to see the new gear and support the Raleigh County Humane Society.

Gauley Fest will take place this year in Summersville, W.V. on September 14-16.

About Bomber Gear
Bomber Gear was founded in Durango, Colo. in 1992, by expert kayaker Rick Franken. Franken bought his first sewing machine because he and a small group of adventure-seeking friends needed better gear. Better gear that let them push the limits and perform at their best while staying warm, dry and comfortable. The goal was to design and manufacture task-specific paddling gear that worked for everyone. Today, Bomber Gear is a premium, authentic paddlesports brand that continues to specialize in the design of performance whitewater skirts and technical paddlesports apparel.
