I want everything in my creekboat and I just can't seem to find it all in one boat. I need a new creekboat soon, as my L Fluid Solo has treated me well but it is time for it to retire. I wrote the HUGE Creekboat Review on my website last year as a comprehensive guide to all the boats available on the market at the time, but for sure there are a ton of classic and a few newer options out there. It is really hard to get unbiased reveiws as I find that most boat reviews are either written from a new paddlers perspecitve or a sponsored athlete's. Neither of which really give accurate usable info to base boat buying decisions on. In the end I guess you just have to get out there a try everything. I'm itching to try the new WS Recon and Titan Exile.

What is your favorite creeker?

My favorite creek boat is different from the one I'd consider if shopping now. Hands down, my fave was LL's Gus. Really enjoyed the rocker profile, the chines, and the speed. I know it's a bit different from other designs but it remains a favorite.

There are other creek designs I've paddled and enjoyed (e.g., Fluid Solo) but I seem to gravitate to the 'river runner' side of creek boats, esp since I haven't really run waterfalls over 20-25ft. (Would prob look at more displacement hulls, if so.) Currently, I've got a DR MadBoy - which is a rare boat, at least in the states - But, I've really enjoyed it. Def an aggressive design. Will probably look to upgrade in the next year or so.

If I were to be shopping now - LL's Stomper and Jackson Karma come to mind as top interests. Would also like a try in the Titan Exile and Bliss Stick Tuna.

Sponsors feel free to step forward.... :)
