Where: USA, Pennsylvania, Stonycreek River, Johnstown The Stonycreek Rendezvous April 20-21 will offer over $1000 in cash and prizes for our whitewater events this year. We will have a downriver race fri. april 20 , a playboater cross race through class 3-4 showers rapid sat. morning april 21, and a freestyle rodeo sat. afternoon registration 11 am - 12:30 beginner class starts at 1:00. Prizes will be had for 1-3 place in all classes. There will be classes for beginners through expert for all events men and women and kids. We would like to invite all boaters interested in some fun competition with a chance to win some cold hard cash and prizes. Entry for all events is $15 dollars with 5 bucks going to the Benscreek Canoe CLub www.benscreekcanoeclub.com who sponsors the event and is an affiliate of AW. And 10 dollars goes to the prize pool. It could get big. So SHOW UP AND SHOW OFF all those moves you've been throwin down at the local playspot and take a chance at fame and fortune. The winner of the advanced/expert class will receive a gear sponsorship from Stonyboater paddlewax, including all the paddle wax they need for a year, Team sweatshirts, Tshirts, Paddle Bag, Gear Bag, Hats, and other cool gear. All you have to promise is to sport a stonyboater logo on your boat and paddle and to always go HUGE! So far event sponsors include Dagger Kayaks, Immersion Research, Riversport School of Paddling, And New to the Scene Stonyboater Paddle Wax. The money generated is going towards a new whitewater playpark to be built by Gary Lacy this summer 2007.
