The Davenport Paddle Surf Classic has been around for many years, and is alive and kicking. Davenport is a legendary break about 20 minutes north of Santa Cruz. In previous years of the contest, we’ve had waves range from small to scary big, and this year’s late fall date means we should have a very good chance of getting memorable waves. Kayaks and SUPs welcome. It started as a kayak and waveski contest, and in recent years we’ve enjoyed surfing with our Stand Up Paddle Board brothers and sisters. It’s a friendly vibe, with tough competition and awesome surfing. In previous years, we’ve had conditions from small to stonking huge.
All competitors MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE. Registration closes November 7th at Midnight. No refunds if you drop out or don’t show up. A special prize will be awarded to the highest ranked first time competitor in each category. Meaning, if this is your first Paddle surf contest, and then you qualify for a chance at a special prize.
