Where: USA, WA, San Juan islands, Anacortes ALL HUMAN POWERED CRAFT WELCOME Date: Saturday, Sept. 11th Start: 10am Location: Start/Finish at Washington Park, Anacortes (camping available) Distance: Approx. 15.5 miles / 25 Km Course: Start Washington Park, Anacortes. Continue down & around Deception island and return. Strong rip current potential. **Experienced paddlers only** *This challenging open-water paddling race will take competitors through the notoriously wild (& unpredictably big when combined with wind + ocean swell) waterways of Rosario Strait, the Strait of San Juan de Fuca and Deception Pass. *Racers will either be getting help from or fighting against strong currents throughout this PNW adventurous open water distance race course. 100% proceeds raised go directly to support the educational efforts of the OrcaNetwork.org.
