What's it like

This spot is a wave and a hole. If the water level is high you will get a fast wave and at low water level it becomes a hole (warning: at low levels there are some rocks just after the hole, so so take care of your head). There is just one eddie on the river right side. This means you have to put in upstream and paddel down to the eddie. once in the eddie you can choose. Go right in the wave or go left in the other wave (not always good). The take out is just a bit downstream on the left side.

How to get there

From the E25 take exit nr 54 in the direction of Bastogne and then follow the direction to Diekirch on the N15. Once in Ettelbruck take the N7 to Diekirch. The spot is on the right side of the road just in front of the gas station. You can park your car on the parking place (you will only need a blue park plate).

There is no special phone number for the river Sûre but you can check the water level of the river Lesse: +32 82666318. If that level is above 110, Diekirch should be ok as well. You can also combine a visit to Diekirch with a the Irrel Wasserfälle. Just take the road N19 in the direction of Echternach and once there you take the E29 in the direction of Irrel.

Locals

If it's a sunny day, you will meet a lot of local spectators, but that's all really.
