Hey everyone! I am planning on booking a trip for 5 people for my bachelor party to Ketchikan, Alaska in July. I've never been before and the 4 other guys have not done much fishing at all. I wanted to do 2 fishing charters - One for salmon, one for rockfish/Halibut.

1.) Does anyone have any recommendations for charters or people they could connect me with up there?

2.) Does anyone have any general information/pieces of advice/recs for other things to do?

Thanks so much!

I think some folks went last year? Maybe do a search in the forum for “Alaska” and see what you get. You’re going to have a blast! Post pics when you’re back

I've spent a lot of time and multiple trips to Ketchikan.  Call these guys at Knudson's Marina.  It's outside of "town"and open to some really great fishing areas.

While at Knudson's, be sure to eat the best halibut burger in the world brought to you by our own Howard McKim.

This pic is from the famous salmon shark trip Sansano and I went on with Howard and Chris Mautino in 2007. We set the world's record fishing these sharks out of Valdez AK.

Thanks so much to both of you for your advice! I will definitely reach out to Knudson's; that is an amazing picture not to mention on an effing kayak. Crazy!
