We’ve been designing and producing innovative whitewater kayaks for over 50 years, but 2022 brought a project which called for us to invest perhaps the most time and energy yet in its testing and development – the Rip-R Evo 2!

This is just the first look into part of that development process to ensure that while our competitors were trying to match the performance of the original Rip-R Evo, we were setting the bar even higher.

This tank testing was used to help us minimize drag and unlock optimal hull speed in the design, which has resulted in the Rip-R Evo 2 being 0.5 seconds faster than the original over a 7 second sprint – it doesn’t sound like much, but that’s the kind of speed advantage that can mean the difference between 1st and 28th in Time Trials!
