BARK- Crossing Channels Since '76

1.884_069.jpg

Bark Boards can be traced back to crossing the Catalina Channel in 1976. Joe, Fred Harding, and Jim Caldwell crossed the channel that day on lifeguard boards, and this inspired Joe to build his first paddle board a few years later in the 80s. He has since built boards that have crossed channels all over the world. Just a few of these include: the Bass Straight in Australia, the Molokai Channel and many crossings in the Hawaiian Islands, crossings in Alaska, Canada, the By Hand Project, the East Coast, the Northwest Passage, countless Catalina crossings, and many more. Crossing a channel is no easy feat, both mentally and physically, and no matter how big or small the channel- we’re stoked about every one you guys have finished. We’d love to hear about your favorite crossing, or one you’ve been dreaming about doing!
