Hello,

Just picked up a 2012 Hobie Outback and have been doing some mods to it thanks to this forum (lurker)! I used to guide and do kayak rentals full time for a couple years back in college over in Morro Bay. We used Natives singles and Vibe tandems (non-pedal). Noticed that they track like an arrow in some serious chop and white caps.

I was in Oroville a couple of weeks ago and weather was real bad (wind, hail, rain). Got back to the marina but def had some issues keeping her straight. Hoping this new sailing rudder will perform better!

I'm hoping to get more active here and make some fishing buddies along the way.

In the past, I target mainly largemouth but I'll be getting into salmon, striper, ling, halibut, and rock bass too.

Take care,

Patrick

Nice! I went to Cuesta but transferred to CSUMB. I didn't do too much fishing there, unfortunately. I did spearfish Stillwater a few times.
