Has California lifted the non-essential travel restrictions?  If not, I wonder why there were so many vehicles - cars, truck and RV's - with California plates passing through my little town Friday and yesterday heading North on US 101.

I counted 18 in total, and I was only headed to the market and back home.  That's 18 more than I'd seen in the previous 10 days.

Sorry to hear about your concerns. Not all Californians are ignoring the virus warning just a few. Law enforcement should pull them over and question there intentions.

I agree,  the Law enforcement should pull them over and question there intentions.

I drive less than 10 miles and only get out twice a week for shopping. Stay within my county and a county-line is less than .25 mile from my house. Some think it's their right to drive anywhere and as far as they want. Their actions just screw it up for everyone else.

There was a group of 5 trailers pulling into the campground, they were turned away as they had Ca. plates and were informed that they were under Ca. S.I.P. order and therefore mandated to stay in their local area. They were not happy as they had driven over 5 hours to possibly bring us this crap.
Please do not plan to visit this or any other small community until this is over, just stay home in place and we will all be through this sooner than later.

You were right in what you did. Not sympathetic for those people at all. For some reason very few people is taking virus seriously. I understand that we fresh air and exercise. But somewhere common sense is just not there anymore. :smt012 :smt012

When people move to another state, they do not re-register their cars right away. Depends on the new state's requirements for when re-registering is required. That may account for some of the cars you saw.

Wow, people in Oregon know how to count past ten?!  :smt044

I admit I had to use other appendages to reach 18.  As is true with all guys from Oregon, I only had to whip out one extra appendage...  :kick

Hojoman, there aren't that many new arrivals to the coast of Oregon to account for that many cars with out of state plates, all heading North on U.S. 101.  Maybe one or two, but not 18.  That's more than we'd see passing through town at this time of year without the plague.

I think I'd be uncomfortable seeing LEO stop cars from out of state.  It might protect folks but it "feels" like going too far even at a time like this.  Stopping RV's, maybe, but cars and pick-ups?  I dunno.  Maybe eventually all states will need to do that.

I just wondered what might have changed.  Apparently nothing other than an increase in traveling skeptics.

It’s normal to see snowbirds going home this time of year. Summer on the coast winter in the desert. I would t read too much into it.

Wait...counting and reading in Oregon ?   :smt002 :smt044 :smt008
No crash isn’t quite Oregon enough, he’s from the state of Jefferson. We can read as long as there are enough pictures to figure out how that particle thing goes together.

As the saying goes, stupid should hurt.  In this case it was $$$$$.  I don't even live in Ca and would know better than driving 5 hours to the cove to go camping.
