Hopefully once the weather gets better up here, I can start to use these? I hate the way they look at me and seem to be saying"why aren't you using us yet".

Similar problem here. Except the flies and tying gear are up in Santa Rosa at my Monday-Wednesday night home, while I'm down here in Santa Cruz working from my real home, so at least I can't see their eyes or feel their anger for not being in the water.

And of course the springtime winds started right on time for the rockfish/ling opener, as usual. Hopefully there will be a day on the water soon for all. Stay safe.

Hello Surf12foot-

Nice work. Im sure those flys will get hammered. Ive not taken to tying my own yet as Im a newbie with a fly rod and on the learn. Ive kayak fished since 2000 but never was a fly fisher until the family bought me reel. That was a year ago and man do I love it! Its a blast from anywhere but the kayak is another level of awesome, challenging as it is to get deep enough where necessary. Anyway, I dig your avatar: nice ling! Between that and a mention of stripers on the fly you guys inspire. Its tougher to find good ling structure in close and to find stripers in my local area so several times a year I fish up around the Carmel area off the yak but not yet with the fly setup. Im trying to get up that way and have a go even if just from the surf for perch. Anyway, Im impressed, get hooked up on all of them :)

I detect a possible Freudian slip in that response...

Thank you so much. Between this Covid-19 thing weather and closures, they haven't been used like they should have been. Yours are looking fishy too.
