Yesterday, next to my burn pile, was a notched oak stump.
Perfect place to sit so I leveled it out with my chain saw.
After I brushed off the saw dust this was the pattern in the wood; untouched.
Very cool surprise.

That is cool! I vote you sand it and protect it with a clear coat or resin. Make a nice tray or something similar

+1 - a little planing and sanding followed by a good absorbing oil finish (tung oil) would make a very nice table top.  Very cool!

Make a number of 'slices.'  Finish up to #800 sandpaper for a glasslike surface.  Finish with tung oil.  auction off the pieces and donate the money to Sansano 2020 Presidential Campaign.

Being retired is a good thing, no schedules no clocks. Amen to naps. Just wait for that time of the year for the various tournaments.
