Hi!

I have had an inflatable SeaEagle 330 for 15 years and have used it in the Pacific, Tahoe, the SFO bay, Hawaii Catalina island and different lakes.

Since I started fishing in recent years I thought I'try it with the Kayak. I know, many will say it is dangerous or even outright stupid to take a beginner inflatable out in the Pacific for fishing. But I am quite confident in my old SeaEagle so I took it out from Stillwater cove down in Pebble Beach. Of course I checked the conditions and picked a day with light onshore winds.

And it was great. Caught the limit of black rockfish and some others.

Since then I went back twice and each time I liked it better.

I am going to get a more sturdy kayak and am planning to do this more often!

See you around

Chet

Welcome aboard.  I think you'll like a hard shelled SOT better than your IK.

Best of luck.   :smt001

Hello, how was it launching from the beach in Stillwater cove? Have you ever launched from any beaches in Big Sur?

Hello and welcome  :smt006
Henry

Fishing is boring, unless you catch an actual fish, and then it is disgusting.

Welcome to NCKA, and another howdy neighbor from me.

I love Stillwater South it's a beautiful place to kayak, I'm always down for a paddle down there, i'm off mondays and can fish some Sundays/Tuesdays. hit me up!

I've only been on a pretty calm day out of SWS, but the launch was the easiest ever, to compare down by Big Sur I've only been out of Cambria at Leffingwell, and that was pretty easy the day I went out, but SWS was way easier. very sheltered.
