I bought this reel from Hapa IK and until I received it, it did not register in my pea brain that it is a left hand reel.
I am not used to LEFT hand conventional reels, hence the reel is back on the market, as received from HapaIK, never used by me, freshly unpacked from the USPS shipping box.
Listed for what I paid for plus shipping.
Pictures pirated from HapaIK's posting...

Is it still Left-Handed?
If not, no need to reply  :smt003

Did you use spinning reels with your right hand?

No Eddie, I use left handed spinning reels, all my conventional reels are right handed. I dont have problem switching, it all comes naturally. However, on this left handed Avet I find it awkward to use my right thumb to guide the line onto the spool while retrieving the line.
I have not taken the reel out fishing yet, it could be that I may get use to it.

I see...it is a bit of a learning curve to even bother with thumbing at all...I could imagine with the size of the mxl that one would never have to worry about the line bunching up thus stopping the ability to reel at all.  I am finding that thumbing one direction seems to work because the spooling naturally grabs the other direction when reeling in, to be honest I hate having to thumb at all but I feel stronger bracing the rod with my right arm and thumbing because it is my more coordinated side.  Silly ergonomics of fishing under pressure...hope you get a chance to use it.  I do not idolize avet but certainly love em’...that’s a screamin’ deal for that much reel... :smt006
