The Weight We Carry Portages Canoes To Mount Everest

It’s pretty remarkable but The Weight We Carry team, has successfully portaged two canoes to the basecamp at Mount Everest! The team was founded by two Canadian brothers (Kyle Roberts and Tom Schellenberg) and their initiative is to donate and to fund positive change in communities around the world.

You can lend a hand too by making a personal donation to their cause.

WE MADE IT TO MOUNT EVEREST!!
With 2 years in the making, 19 days of solid trekking and unimaginable conditions The Weight We Carry has finally arrived at Mount Everest Base Camp!
This has been BY FAR the biggest test of endurance we have ever experienced. Reaching this goal has been justly emotional for our entire team. To everyone reading this who has been affected by mental illness or poor mental health this is for you. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors and everyone’s support of this project along the way. You have helped us endure these past 19 days and we can not thank you enough for that. We are now on our way back down the mountain. Please continue to share our mission with everyone you can. We are excited to be approaching 50% of donations required to reach our goal of $150 000 to build the Koshish Women’s Mental Health Centre in Nepal. Thank you again on behalf of Tom, Kyle and the entire The Weight We Carry team.
