Fort Collins, CO - Join American Whitewater on September 6, with the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed, American Rivers, and New Belgium Brewing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act! We’ll have swag giveaways and opportunities to take action on behalf of rivers near and far. Featuring the short film, PROTECTED: A Wild & Scenic River Portrait and $3 Fat Tire Amber Ale and Fat Tire Belgian White.

Just upstream of Fort Collins on the Cache la Poudre River, are the only designated Wild & Scenic river miles in all of Colorado. Let’s raise a glass and our awareness for the lifeblood of our community and the lifeblood of New Belgium brewery - Rivers!

A portion of proceeds from the evening and all tips collected will be donated to American Whitewater and our outstanding nonprofit partners, supporting our work to protect and restore our nation’s rivers.

The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act became legislation on October 2, 1968. This year, in celebration of the 50 year anniversary of the passage of this historic act, American Whitewater has helped re-invigorate the momentum needed to create new Wild and Scenic Rivers, including the newly designated East Rosebud Creek in Montana and several new pieces Wild and Scenic legislation moving through Congress.
