Ontario Parks Is Celebrating 125 Years In 2018

Algonquin Provincial Park was created in 1893 and since then Ontario Parks has grown to 340 provincial parks (check out this interactive slider to see the locations through the years). Ontario Parks are celebrating their 125th anniversary this year, with festivities, events, and more announcements to come!

Ontario has a world-class parks system, and this anniversary allows us to celebrate the fantastic opportunities right in our backyard. Our parks offer something for everyone so check out what is happening at your local park or venture to one farther away for an exciting new adventure.
— Kathryn McGarry, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry
