Friday: "Monsters in the Dark" free fishing seminar on Kayak Fishing at Night with Hobie pro staff kayak tournament pro angler Jason Broach of Vero Beach. Begins at 6 p.m. Location: Orchid Island Bikes and Kayaks, 1175 Commerce Ave., Vero Beach. Cost: Free. Jason Broach of Vero Beach caught this bass while fishing in the Toadfest on the Marsh kayak bass fishing tournament Sunday on waters of the Upper St. Johns River Marsh.

Saturday-Nov. 3: Hunting season open in Zone C (northern Palm Beach County to Florida-Georgia state line) for antlered deer with muzzleloader, bow and crossbow. Information: MyFWC.com.

Bag limit: 6 ducks, including no more than 4 mallards (of which only 2 can be females), 4 scoters, 4 eiders, 4 long-tailed ducks, 3 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 2 black duck, 2 scaup, 2 canvasbacks, 1 pintails, 1 mottled duck (Florida duck) and 1 fulvous whistling-duck.
