The same board that has taken World Champions Angela Jackson, Olivia Piana and Chase Kosterlitz across the finish line can fly under your feet. With a revolutionary bow shape and adjusted scoop line, the Falcon Race is faster and more stable than ever before. With a SUP race scene that’s experienced exponential world-wide growth over the last few years, Fanatic has concentrated vast effort into tuning four new race shapes, as well as the two proven 30˝ shapes. Testing was conducted all over the world – from Australia, to Florida, to Maui, to ensure these boards work as well in choppy ocean swell as they do in flat water. Special attention was made to ensure simple, easy foot steering in cross-wind and chop. The rails were designed with a unique goal in mind: to offer stability high on the rail, but reduce wetted surface at the bottom once paddling. Designed For: The 12’6” Mongoose is designed for speed and stability in all waters, from sea to lake. Race, explore, cruise, or sprint for a great work-out——–the Mongoose is all about fast paddling fun! The new 12’6” Mongoose is the result of a lifetime spent designing boats, surfboards, and paddleboards of all types for racing, cruising, and riding. Good design is all about compromise——there is no ‘perfect’ board or boat. With ample overall width and thickness, a wide tail and low cockpit, this efficient hybrid displacement hull is stable and secure on all axes, and glides ahead with an astonishing turn of speed. The Mongoose’s penetrating nose with its low, soft bottom reduces side-load windage and the “hunting” characteristics of the high ‘cutter’ bow. Rather than place the thickest part of the board on the nose, which compounds the leverage, on the Mongoose it’s 3’ back from the nose, raising the forward part of the cockpit coaming and reducing leverage. A touring SUP that doubles as a recreational racing SUP designed for anyone that wants a lightning fast paddle board designed by one of the worlds premier racing SUP shapers. While this was designed with a recreational rider in mind, its shape embodies many of the latest features in elite racing boards such as the displacement nose and a water-shedding crowned front deck design. The combination of a flat bottom and the displacement nose makes this board surge horizontally forward and back, instead of inefficiently up and down as you paddle. Works great for tandem riding and at the standard 12'6" racing length, you can enter this board in pretty much any SUP racing event on the planet.

By reducing the width adding some more roll in the bottom they lowered the deck slightly and kept the rail line high creating a well to give back the stability and keep it dry around the feet.
