SWITZERLAND - Novice kayaking advice 14 years 10 months ago #26455

My boyfriend and I would like to do some kayak 'trekking' in Switzerland, on lakes or easy rivers (grade 1 or less). We've done a little sea kayaking in New Zealand (Abel Tasman National Park & Doubtful Sound) with camping, and I've done a few days river journey in a Canadian canoe, but we are relative novices...I'd be grateful for any advice on good locations for novice paddling or specific routes please (we don't really want to go on a guided tour...). Any tips on where to hire equipment, or perhaps whether to buy an inflatable, also much appreciated. Thanks!
