Carribean Sea, Pigeon Point
Ocean spot: St. Lucia, Carribean Sea, Pigeon Point
What's it like
Swell season here is largely between December and March and again during hurricane season. The swells break right to left and can get as big as 8 feet. The waves vary: sometimes medium size and powerful, sometimes large with no power. Wind can be a problem on some days.
This is a hotspot for St. Lucia surfers and kayakers.
How to get there
Pigeon Point is just north of a small village called Gros Islet (pronounced: grows E-lay). There is only one highway north so you can't miss it.

Locals
You may find some spectators on the rock where you can get a fine view of the surfers and the occasional wipeout. The surfers here are all well mannered chaps. There are about 9 local surfers who are real easy going and don't mind sharing waves.
