Usage

I hope that the Paddling Buyers' Guide speaks for itself and using it should be easy. If you do run into problems, contact me on Playak (jeroen) or on Facebook (jeroenplayak). Make sure you are logged in to enjoy the full functionality of the guide (search function, add products, reviews etc).

Inclusion

Inclusion of your products is free, as far as you enter the complete data, with product photos, yourself (see $GLOBALS[domain] top menu: Publish!). I can also do the data entry for a small one-time entry fee ($10 per product). Large advertisers get this data entry service for free.

Updates

If you want to make changes to your own products, make sure you are logged in on Playak, and click the 'edit' link on top of the product detail page. If you don't see such a link, the product was entered by somebody else. In this case, click the 'Claim' link to signal to me that you should have permissions to edit the product. I will inform you when those permissions have been added.

Deletion

I do not delete products from the guide, as its main purpose is to be the timeless reference resource of paddling products, so I also keep all information about products that are no longer on the market (many people on ebay and craigslist link to old products in the Playak Buyers' Guide). If a product called 'Lorem Ipsum' got a complete overhaul since last year, but otherwise kept the same name, enter it as a new product and add the year to the product name: 'Lorem Ipsum 2024'.

User Reviews

Registered users can review all products. The reviews are not moderated or censored, although I remain the right to delete a review if it uses extremely rude language or contains personal insults (the usual decency constraints).
