Combining the passion of running with river conservation

American Rivers (Nov 14) - On November 2, ultra-runner Keith Hanson began his run across South Carolina to raise awareness and support for river conservation. He ran for 150 miles and raised more than $11,000 – an amazing accomplishment! We are grateful to Keith for embracing this challenge and giving his all for a future of healthy rivers. Neuse River to flow freely after Milburnie Dam removed

American Rivers (Nov 11) - A deadly dam along the Neuse River in Raleigh, NC is being removed. Once Milburnie dam is removed, shad will be able to return to historic spawning grounds. Ushering in a new chapter for the Neuse River and City of Raleigh, removal of the unsafe and obsolete Milburnie Dam will begin on Wednesday, November 15.  read more...
