Water releases to Hoosic river to provide good whitewater levels from April 22

Am. Whitewater (Apr 9) - After a long time there would be whitewater releases on the Schaghticoke Gorge section of the Hoosic. The date for the release is 22 April. It would be good if huge numbers from the boating community comes and enjoys the whitewater fun to ensure these water releases continue . There is one class 5 section for those who like to try it and nice friendly Class 2 and 3 sections for others to try.  read more...

Green River Dam Boat Passage Officially Open!

Am. Whitewater (Apr 8) - American Whitewater and volunteers have been working with state and federal agencies, private water users, the local boating community for the new boat passage that’s officially opened through the Green River Diversion (Tusher Dam). Now the Green River is freed from obstruction and there is 400 floatable river miles through iconic canyons and historic landmarks.
