So why then does freestyle often get a bit of a bad rap when it comes to the attitudes of many kayakers today? For some it is the lack of the “badass” factor. Playing about at somewhere like Cardiff doesn’t allow the brag factor like running some G5 knar somewhere. Incredibly there are people out there who regard anything less than G4 as flat water!
