Close encounters

Some photo's from a busy and fun weekend in, out and on the water....
Saturday morning started with a 10th Birthday party Gorge Scramble ran by Sam and John
A great fun morning with a lively bunch of young adventurers...
Meanwhile George and Tim were on the west coast sea kayaking, glad we were able to fit you guys in :)
Then it was off to the pool!
We're now back in the Western Swimming Pool running our Learn to Kayak and Junior Adventure club sessions. The current courses are all fully subscribed with just a few places left for juniors and adults starting Mid November. Contact us for more information
Sundays sea kayaking from Peel was very special....
As we were kitting up and unloading boats from the trailer, a rush of excitement began as around 50 Bottlenose dolphins suddenly appeared from the south heading northwards passing just a few metres from the rocks at the entrance to Fenella beach....
Heading north on the paddle we were amazed to see the dolphins feeding around Peel bay and they stayed with us for some time...
Photographing these mammals is always a challenge as to where to point the camera...
One breached just 4 or 5 metres from us....
A very memorable morning and an impressive display...
This afternoon we enjoyed a relaxed family paddle ...
Lots of first time experiences for folk in this group, great to meet you all.
Thanks Jan for the amazing flapjack as usual :)
Looking forward to another busy one next weekend!
John
