pop the lock
A while back my lock was popped while fishing. This time nothing was taken as I had nothing in the truck to take. So instead of fishing today it's yard work and fixing the lock.

Re: pop the lock
Way back when, I owned a convertible. I was told to leave the doors unlocked. Seems it's cheaper than having the crooks cut the top to get inside.
Today, assuming one had nothing in the vehicle to steal, I guess it may be better to just leave the doors unlocked.
No way of knowing if the crooks would bother to try the handle before breaking it, though.

Re: pop the lock
I've gotten to the point where I now just take everything out... and leave the thing unlocked.
Re: pop the lock
Oh, yeah. Leave it unlocked. Far less damage. Although some folks are just out for destruction.

Damn. Sorry to hear you've been hit twice. I've been lucky I guess. Hope the schmucks that got you wind up getting what they deserve.
