WhatsSUP--clam strips? Really? I had no idea you were gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But clams strips. Jeez. Might as well be eating them in Nebraska, frozen, from Howard Johnson's. Full belly or forgetaboutit. I come back to the east cost once a year to have the holy sacrament: Clams. Cherrystones raw for breakfast, fried clams for lunch, steamed essex with a lobster back for dinner. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Clam strips. My God. Who is raising these kids?

In Rhody, the Matunuck Oyster Bar is worth some extra driving. Outstanding. Baby fried oysters with a few chips and a lot of beer. Mounds of the little buggahs. Asounding.

Back to the subject at hand--The Sand Bar Cafe right at the end of a Viento run, for Hawaiian grinds from the joint next door (forget the name--does it matter?) and local draft in a rotating tap where you don't know what's going to be available but you DO know it won't have been brewed any further away than two miles.

Maui--The Fish Market in Paia for Grilled Ono plate, extra cole slaw instead of potatoes or rice, Redhook ESB on draft. Or Coleen's in Haiku for Poke and either the special if it's a fish I like (The big O: Ono, Opah, or Opakapaka) the ribs, or their outstanding chicken. The Poke is world class and way too much for one. Nuku for Sushi if I'm feeling flush. Wait a second, forget I said anything about Colleens or Nuku. Locals only. Haole go home.

Also partial to pissah clams (steamers) and blue mussels.  Gonna have to check out Mantunuck Oyster Bar!

All w/ copious amounts of beer!

When I was blogging I had a page dedicated to it. Eating after SUPper
https://newenglandsup.wordpress.com/eating-after-supper/

Sandy's is still the spot if I want fried seafood and she occasionally will have some fresh bluefish or striper that she grills in garlic butter (in the ocean until a few hours ago kind of fresh) that I'll get if she has it. Best thing is if there is surf at Plymouth beach one of the best breaks is directly in front, 100 yards out.

A couple additions...
Best burger around is KKaties Burger Bar in Plymouth...nothing else comes close....maybe the best burger I've ever had.....get the truffle fries.

New World Tavern, also Plymouth. Huge craft beer selection. Jamaican jerk wings....best jerk I've tasted outside of Jamaica.....I love jerk.

Ah man.  You really need to check out Oscar's.  http://www.oscarsmexicanseafood.com/  Three locations one of which is in La Jolla just next to the West End pub on Turquoise.  I think Wahoo's is the Bubba Gump's of fish tacos/Mexican seafood.
