I've mentioned before that Kes is not our dog, just family who we watch every so often, http://www.dogwalkbloggs.com/showthread ... -pictures).

He is getting on now and is not steady on his feet. A long walk is a lap or two of the garden but a trip in the landrover and the canoe is still a pleasure. First in the Landy, always a sign of an impending adventure, especially when you've been dresses on your lifejacket.

The plan was for just a short paddle at Castle Semple loch. The weather was warm with a bit of wind but nothing too strong. With minimal hassle unloading we were soon on the water.

Sam and Kes got comfy to take in the sights and sounds of the loch.

Sam is usually a bit more animated in the canoe but tonight was very chilled.

Of course there is only so much a dog can do in the canoe. It is all about the mental stimulation and seeing what is going on, watching the world go bye. All the same things that appeal to me :)

Not that I get to relax as much as the dogs. If I rest to long I get the "Oy, do some paddling"' look.

As always, all to soon, it was time to head back to the car. Another enjoyable trip out on the water just chilling with the dogs.

Cracking blog with dogs to match! :)

(Please note that it was not a cracking blogg with doggs to match! ;))

We shall be having our canine houseguest staying with us for a week next week. I might even try to get her out in a canoe this time.

Nor was it a dogging blogg with cracks.

What ever it was I thought it was cool to take an elderly dog out for a spin.
