Sweet double hook up. I liked the 3D seat very interesting. I wonder if other companies will follow? I enjoyed wilderness systems, i hope they make a foot drive system some day.

Picked up my ATAK 140 this past weekend. Thinking of picking up the 3d seat. Does it fold backwards or forward when not in use?

Yes it has 4 clips that you can undo. By undoing two of them you can fold it back.Ben Fishing? wrote:Picked up my ATAK 140 this past weekend. Thinking of picking up the 3d seat. Does it fold backwards or forward when not in use?

No. Are they making a foot drive? I am not a fan of the battery/trolling motor stuff. I really enjoyed my wilderness system kayaks. I hurt my shoulder and had to find other means, but if wilderness makes a drive that you use your feet I would consider them for my next purchase.

Way to fuel my fire...I am ready to go get the ATAK already and this just solidifies that fact even more. Just the fact that you can move around so freely on it is enough but then all the other features that come with it are extreme bonus for me!

Thanks. Im a hobie fan boy and didnt want to bring it up earlier, but seeing a few seconds of that I don't think mentioning hobie will hurt any sales. That was really neat. I heard horror stories about native customer service and thats why i have stuck with hobie, but that wilderness drive looks nice. That torqueedo seems very compact as well. Wilderness has my attention. Thanks.

Hey M.Y. Saw your review and loved it. I always read and see that the ATAk was made for calm flat waters or bays, but never for the use of BTB. Then I saw your video and you had it out there, that's pretty awesome!! Can you go into more details about how it does in btb conditions. Did you launch through the surf and how did you re-enter?? Any details and info about how the ATAK handles in BTB would be appreciated!! Thanks

Surf was pretty flat that day. The only thing I would re-do would be to make sure and remove the front scupper plugs before going out! It did get front heavy but after I removed them it was smooth sailing. Wind was a non factor. re-entry was fine, I have a surfing background so I am familiar with the set times/ frequency. I would do it again in a heartbeat!Gallonegro wrote:Hey M.Y. Saw your review and loved it. I always read and see that the ATAk was made for calm flat waters or bays, but never for the use of BTB.
