Yeah, we know, at least halve a California wave size designation to get the equivalent Hawaiian wave.

California: 4-6ft = Hawaiian 2-3ft

Haole grandiosity.

San Clemente is SAAMMMOOOOOKINNN hot.
2 hours in the water no wind plenty waves.
So check this out....
I come in and there's this guy parked next to me at Sano going out in a fullsuit, gloves, booties and a fricken helmet. I think I almost passed out from heat stroke just LOOKING at him
I almost always wear a sup wetsuit it has short sleeve fullers and is mostly 1 mil legs arms chest is 2 mil.  But i have had skin cancer 3 times  so I prefer to be more covered up.  and yes I was hot the other day

The only thing I don't like about not wearing a wettie are all the bumps and bruises I get.
Saturday morning at 7am, shortboarding with my son at Oxnard Shores, with a 1 mil vest only. I did get chilly after about 1.5 hours.  But I was in the water not on top.
Spent the afternoon trunking it at Mondo's pushing my 3 yr old grandson into waves, then paddled out on my wife's noserider for a few fun ones.
Water temp high 60's, with 78+ air temp.
It was family weekend in warm water and nice conditions.  Thanks El Nino!

We hit up Doho Sunday and even after successful kickouts, I'd jump in just to cool off.  Waves held most of the day and I was done (expletive deleted) done after session 2 and about 3.5 hours in.  Supgobes was there too in the mix of the crowd off the hammer, just having a blast.  What a nice break from DIY house remodel tasks.
