Saw this link posted on CCKF.
I appreciate this guy's enthusiasm. But there are a few things wrong with this craigslist post offering to sell kayak fishing tours. Hopefully he has the guide license and liability insurance. Because, if not, that's just asking for trouble. Especially in the litigious landscape of CA!

I find this part troubling, "in 1000 hours otw, I've never fallen in or seen others fall in."  :smt011

Maybe he fishes alone, maybe he closes his eyes, but wouldn't it be better just to be up front and say it's a possibility and teach folks about re-entry?

Well, I hope everything works out for him. That's a lot of responsibility he's asking to take on!

Sketch for sure... Old ass kayaks. Not super stable fishing models either :smt011 Hope we don't see them on the news...

Over 1000 hours?  He doesn't say it was on an SOT or a fishing kayak but if it was and he managed 7 hours OTW once a week for eight months out of the year that would be 9 years or almost to the advent of modern kayak fishing. This would make him serious OG. Surprised that Polepole doesn't know him  :smt002

Feels less like a legit business than it does a guy with a couple of old kayaks in the back of his truck looking to make a few bucks. Some poor person is going to reply thinking this guy knows what he's doing and will end up in the water and in big trouble. Scary stuff there ...  :smt011

Is he the only unlicensed kayak fishing guide out there?  I remember a certain guy who is offering trips up north but isn't registered with DFW.

And I'm not talking about our NCKA registered ones either.

Tell me if you can find his license.

Lmao!!! Hell i know the central coast makes 40-50fish days easy but this guy really? Im gonna look around and seenif i can find out who this guy is.  I dont want the people in my area getting hurt because craigslist said theyll be ok in board shorts. This year sure the water is 65° but other years no way.
