Returning member

Post by Reel Yakkers »

Hey yall it's been a while since I was on this site. My name is Ben and I was a member in 2009. I enjoyed the stories and fishing buddies I made back then. I've been gone because I sold my yak 5 years ago and bought a boat. The boat was great and I caught lots of fish out of it. However I got rid of it because I was tired of storage and maintenance costs. I'm without anything to fish out of now and got that itch again. So with that said I just ordered a new yak and it should be arriving in a couple weeks. Just wanted to say hi and re-introduce myself.

Here's one of the videos I made years ago. Look forward to doing that again too. Tight lines!

Ben, your temporary leave of absence coincides with mine pretty much. I just came back into the fold earlier this year and it feels great. Kayaks have changed dramatically as you have probably noticed, but there are still those that you remember on the market, just a little pricier. I plan on fishing both lakes and bays often this summer so maybe we will run into each other? Welcome back!

Thanks lagavulin! Yes prices have gone up dramatically. I picked up my new hobie outback for $1550 back then. Just ordered my new one and it isn't even close. Can't wait to get back in it.
