Looking for a few fishing buddies

Post by unpredictable »

I'm new to the area and kayak fishing. I would like to find a few people that I can fish with for safety reasons. As of now I have been fishing alone, but hope to change that this year. So far I've only fis he'd the seabrook/kemah area and Baytown nature center. I'm open to fishing other areas as well. I will also be purchasing a generator and lights to do some night fishing as well. Oh by the way I'm off on Sunday and Monday.

Good that you are looking to fish in groups for safety. I would suggest you put a fishing invite here and you will build your fishing buddies quickly.

No need for a generator or lights unless you want to fish from the comfort of the shoreline. If you want to fish the house canal lights you only need a 360 light and a head light to tie your lures or unhook the fish while on the kayak.

That is probably 95% of the fishing I'm doing now a days and prefer it over day fishing just because I don't disrupt family plans on the weekends. Family goes to sleep...I go to fish!

Welcome!

I'd definitely be interested in hooking up some time and going out. I'm new also and haven't been out anywhere yet. I'm hoping at some point this month to go down to GISP.

Hey,

I just moved to seabrook and bought me a kayak, due to the weather, I have not gotten it in the water yet. But I am also looking for a buddy to fish with and to learn the area. Please let me know when you are headed out again, It would be great to meet some people in the area.

Thanks
Brandon

Put me on the list of folks interested in fishing too. I started kayak fishing end of last year. Mainly been hitting the lights in the Kemah channel. Can sneak off after the kids go to sleep just about any night.
