Is there a kayak fishing group in Corpus? I bought a kayak about 8 months ago and love it. Don't like fishing by myself though. It dawned on me bad things could happen on the way to Shamrock Island and I think I would feel more comfortable fishing with others. Love to fish (wade fished previously) and go every weekend or day off.

There is a Corpus Group but, noone really likes to post in there. It would probably be best to post an open invite a few days before and see if anyone in town or from out of town might want to tag along.

Sawreds, you are a smart person to look for others to fish with. If you don't find others, which I don't, send me a PM.

Go to Facebook and you can join Justus kayak group. I am sure there are a few more groups. 361Fishing might be another.

Thanks, I joined the Justus group. 361 Fishing is a bit too in your face for me (I hope a game warden joins, lots of nice leads there).

I kayak once every few weeks around Corpus. I also powerboat about once a week. So for me, kayaking isn't about fishing with other people, its a quiet day paddling the shallows and experiencing what you don't get in a powerboat.
