I lost my yellow BB dive baord today around 2pm. It is loaded with 3 legal abalone, a bunch of sea urchin, my Mako Speargun, other dive essentials and my fishing license/ abalone card.

I dove the area between big rock and shore. The board was clipped to kelp. My Mako gun was stuck. I borrowed a gun from my friend. Fish are plentiful. So I went for a fish chasing game. 5 minutes later, the board is gone.  :smt010

If any one found it, please let me know. I will find a way to thank you for this.

Hi Chet, Did you find it and send to Sub Surface Progression? I am so happy I can have the whole thing back. Where is Sub Surface?
Thank you so much!

It's the dive shop in ft Bragg.

Hopefully you are still in area.  If not let me know and I may be able to pick them up and drop them off next time I go that way.

Maybe because of the license was in the Banks Board.

Not sure about DFG, but if I found a board floating around and no one around I would probably be calling coast guard and rescue as someone may have drowned or be in need of help.  They should have been knocking on the ab tags owner's door to find out what happened.

Glad it turned out okay.

Maybe a REALLY good idea to keep some form of waterproof tag/identification attached to your board for this very reason!  If you go missing & the board is found, it's a starting point for an otherwise unknowing situation.

I do.

I recently added my name and number to several expensive pieces of equipment since I lost my go pro. And don't want to go through that again.

I always keep a waterproof phone pouch with my wife's number in case something happens to me.  At least she can tell them where I was supposed to be and what I was driving that day.

I think DG's has nailed the ID preparation. I usually put my drivers license into the dry box as well. Do you guys do that?

I knew this could've triggered a emergency rescue. So the 1st thing when I went back to shore is to call my wife tell her I am ok.  If police called her before me and told her they found my board and no person, I don't know what to say :smt005.

I also talked to a lot of people on-shore about my lost of dive board. A young gentleman maned Joe (a kayak tour trainer) even kayaked to the big rock to look for the board for me. Big thank to him too.

I just called the game warden. Very nice guy. He gave me his cell phone number so i can later meet him and get the stuff. He even freeze the abs for me. I just have to tag the abs in front of him when I meet him. Never done that before.  :smt044

Those abs are way bigger than the 7" gauge. So there is no issue.

I am very happy guys, very happy!!!!!
