possible tournament at holly beach

Post by Texas_troutkiller13 »

So my buddy and I were thinking of doing a little tournament for Tkfers in our area at holly beach. Nothing to serious we just really want to do it for fun and bring all of us together out their. It's mainly for bragging rights if anything. We were kinda thinking of doing like a $10 entry and all the money will be put in the pot and will go directly to the winners and maybe do some lure prizes for the runner ups. I want to get some feed back on what you guys think before we make anything offical. So let me know if you guys would be interested in doing something.

Sounds great looks like we are getting some positive feed back. In anyway you could help would be much appreciated. I will be planning on making some flyers and will put the company's logo on it if they submit a sponsorship. I have a few local company's that will be talking to this week also to help sponsor us. Hopefully we can get all the details worked out within the next few weeks and I can send you the info so you can present it to the company.

Usually how I have done it for these friendly tournaments for BBQ is the following

Every participant if they stay for the BBQ will need to bring a small package of meat for me to burn! (no chicken leg quarters, takes too long to cook)

Then it goes into a communist pot and everyone has a good ole time.

In addition to that I ask that they bring thier own poison to drink a plate and a large trash bag and hand wipes.

We all then then pick up and leave holly cleaner than when we got there.

I will cook and if we get a good turnout might need a second pit.
I bring my pit and stove to heat up the tortillas

Looking forward to fishing...coco!

I will make sure I put that information about the bbq Z-Man. That would be good to do a little extra clean up I hate how people just make a mess of everything. Why is it so hard for them to put there trash away? We need to respect the areas we fish around cause if not we may not have them one day.

Nope it is not got a "few" under my belt
We call them flotillas and we have several of them a year plus our annual Christmas party in the LLM

I have hosted a "challenge-Tilla" and some cleanup-Tillas plus numerous other friendly lure tournaments.

I'm ready...

So we went to hook line today and they are willing to help support the cause. We just need to come up with a date for the tournament. As of right now we are projecting 1st weekend of august before the school cause I know people get busy around back to school. If not maybe late July what do you guys think?

It runs from July 29th- August 2nd

We will probably do it the weekend before that which would be the 25th of July, and at $10 entry it's really not breaking the bank. If people come down to fish this tourney they can always fish the tift after that also two birds one stone.
