High tide at Ulverston is 12.33 @ 9.1m. Long range weather suggests overcast with a Southwesterly wind - that should push the tide up quite quickly and with a decent amount of water in the Leven at the moment, chance of a good bore.
I'm canoeing the flood (after the bore is through as that would be a bit hectic!) from Greenodd up the Leven with options either to see how far up Rusland Pool (map link) I can get, or stay on the main river to Lady Syke bridge (map link) and beyond - the Leven isn't tidal as far up as Haverthwaite so I doubt I'll get that far.
If anyone fancies it I'll be arriving at the *SEE EDIT BELOW* at around 10.15 with a view to watching the bore come in (it's usually 2 to 2.5 hours ahead of high tide) and setting off when it calms down a bit.
EDIT: Meeting place now changed to the old filling station site in Greenodd Google Map Link
