It's official, a Saturday date,,,

 This is going to be a smaller event, most likely like the last one with around a dozen vets or so. The attendees are coming through personal outreach invite by DirtyBassChucker and myself. I'm sure we can use a few extra kayaks and not sure how the lake pressure will be with more public using the facilities on a Saturday. But one thing is probably true.

The bite should be on…

post up if ya can make this one or bring an extra yak. If kayakjack is not making this one, we'll keep this simple food wise...

Not sure if they will be on two weeks from now, but I was out yesterday and the crappie were schooling up good. some big bait balls around the ramp area. Trout are pretty scattered, bass guys are doing ok on mixed baits. Definitely bring some crappie jigs.

For trout I had best luck with a chartreuse hoochie on a dodger top lined 100' out. I usually do better on pink but not this time.

The trout are still pretty skinny with all the bait in the system. Hopefully they start to fatten up. I released them all so did not get to check stomach contents.

Water temp was 58-59. Viz was about 5-6'.

Evan and I will be there.  Looking forward to getting back on the lake. Hopefully the weather will stay somewhat warm and bring the temp up a few more degrees.  No doubt the bass bite will be on!!

I've got a buddy at work (another Coastie) that would like to come help out.  He's not a fisherman but could help with food, loading, unloading, shore side chores, etc.  Is he needed/welcome?
