This article is more than 9 years old

Canoeing and kayaking holidays are a brilliant way to explore the world. Tell us your favourite places to go and you could win a £200 hotel voucher

Canoeing and kayaking holidays can be anything from an adventurous tour around exotic archipelagos to a gentle day out along a meandering river. Whatever your choice, taking to a boat can offer a breathtaking and alternative way to explore. Tell us about your favourite places around the world to canoe and kayak – what do you see on your journey, is it a grand tour or a day out, and what ability level would you need to be to enjoy it?

The best tips will appear in print in next weekend’s Travel section and the winner, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, will receive a £200 hotel voucher from Hotels.com, allowing you stay in over 260,000 places worldwide. You can share your tips by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ button on this article or you can also use the GuardianWitness smartphone app. Try and include as much detail as possible – location, any website addresses etc – and feel free to add a photo if you own the copyright to it, but it will be the text we’re judging! Your tip should be around 100 words long. Terms and conditions.
