Hit the river again today, pedaled upstream, fishing was slow going up until right against the shore a minnow jumped straight in the air looked just like a blue/silver cast master, changed to the Kastmaster 15 minutes later fishing the same hole I have tried three times the last couple weeks with no success had my first decent trout of 2015, came in at 17 inches, in Sac River have to report it as steelhead because it is a rainbow over 16", doubt that fish ever saw the ocean.

Missed two other fish, bite lasted maybe 30 minutes

Also attached is SMB a friend of mine caught today on the Sac River.

Water clarity is getting better, they are keeping flow at 3250 cfs, very low.

Nice fish, gotta love the blue / silver kastmaster....the blue / silver little cleo is also good on the river.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Glad to hear it is clearing, I've been wanting to do a drift but water clarity has been keeping me away.

Maybe it is time for a hook up, float Anderson Park to Jelly's Ferry, SMB fishing has been good especially at mouth of Cow Creek and Cottonwood Creek, people I have been talking to are using crayfish color lures, gold/black/red crankbaits and panther martins.
